Celebration for Mr.Shigeru Takamiyagi who acquired Hanshi 10th dan and OKIKUKAI New Year’s Party
The celebration was held on a grand scale at the SOWA(Overall Wedding Hall) with a large number of OKIKUKAI members, the executives of The Okinawan Karate Society, friends and acquaintances of Mr.Takamiyagi with over 230 people attending, in spite of the rain, on January 7th (Sun).
The celebration was opened with Kagiyadehu, and Mr.Asato, President of OKIKUKAI, gave the sponsor address, Mr.Matsushima, chair of the board of directors, introduced the history from when Mr.Takamiyagi started budo to these days. Mr.Senaha, the Chancellor of Meio University, gave a congratulatory address, and Mr.Arkaki, the Head of Nakagusuku Village, gave the address as the student representative. Then, Mr.Takamiyagi, Senior Advisor of OKIKUKAI, and the pupils of Chatan Dojo performed Karate.
